Hi all,

I am using Trello as a Kanban tool in a testing activity we perform.

The tool is very good and really help us to manage the activities of a big team in a very easy way. The environment is very challenging and driven by change and the flexibility from Trello helps to adjust the activities of a team depending on our customer needs.

The main issue that we have is the lack of hours tracking functionally. I would like to know how many hours we spend on each card. There is no specific field to log the hours in every car and that makes it very difficult to track and review the hours performed.

Currently, we log the hours in the comments field which will not help us to quickly analyse the board in Trello and get a clear picture of where we are in terms of hours.

Is there any functionality or add on that I can add to Trello to support me with that?

I think this feature will be an added value for Trello because I believe it will increase the technical capabilities of the tool to manage teams performing software testing for example.

Thank you,

Augusto Melo

Hi!

Card Time In List for Trello can do the following for you:

- Track time spent in each list

- Track cumulative times spent on the list you specify

- Track time until or past due date

- Export durations  to make advanced reports like average times, track  stuck cards on a  single list etc.

- And many more features…

Cheers!

@Augusto Melo I think the TimeDoctor mobile app is the best way to do it. They have a backend Trello integration that allows you to "start/stop" against individual Trello cards you're a member of from your phone or tablet. I typically just have my phone on a stand next to my computer with TimeDoctor open on it.

@Augusto Melo

There are time tracking power ups that allows for individuals to clock time. Most would have some form of reporting.
More specific to your question, there are some stats on time a card spent in a list which I believe is based on card movement times logged on each move. To access you will need to use API or use the Trello variables perhaps via the report action.

Update: did a test with {cardminutesinlist} {cardhoursinpreviouslist}. When card re-enters the card, the previously accumulated time gets overwritten with use of these variables. Hence the work for the client in Spain.

For a client in Spain, where a collector can handle several concurrent tasks putting the card in the “hold” list stops the clock for that task whilst he launch another. At the end of the day, it creates a total for the worker to verify.

Above are the options I am aware of.
