What happens to my Board templates if I downgrade to the free version?

I created two boards that I turned into templates to share with fellow job-seekers. What happens to the templates when I downgrade back to the free version?

• I submitted the boards for public use. As far as I know, they have not been published to date.
  • Will they continue through the process to be published if I downgrade?
  • Will they continue to be available under "Templates" if I downgrade?
• Will I be able to continue to share my Trello Board templates using their links if I revert to the free version?

Welcome to the community!

If you downgrade to a free plan then if you have less than 10 boards in the team it will be the same as the previous but with all the features of a business-class plan, you won't be able to use it!

If you have more than 10 boards in the business class team the some of the boards will get archived but you can move them to another team in batch!

The templates in the team remain the same and published and they will continue to be available under "Templates" even if you downgrade.

Yes, definitely! You will be able to continue to share your Trello Board templates using their links if you revert to the free version!

Hi All, 

It looks like this has potentially changed so I thought I'd come here and update the answer.

When you downgrade to the Trello free plan, any Template boards you had will automatically be converted back to regular boards, they'll still be accessible in the workspace but won't be available under "Templates"

However, if you upgrade to one of our paid plans that include Board Templates again in the future these boards will be converted back into Templates.
