what is max number of users on team board for Trello Gold user?

I'm looking to get suggestions for a team of approx. 100 people.  can i invite them all via email?   or is there some limitation?

Hi @Rose Abbl Trello is introducing new limits regarding the number of boards a member can be on and the number of members a board can have. Both of the limits will be set 1,000. This means that a single user can be a member of up to 1,000 boards and a single board can have up to 1,000 members.

We updated that card, as that was actually out of date!

Trello's current limits are 1600 maximum members per board, and 4500 boards per member. Trello's current limits are always available here: https://trello.com/1/resource/limits

how does the limit work where there is no limit on teams, so say there are multiple teams on board with members exceeding 1600. what happens then?
