Topic Tuesday - 27 Nov 2018 - How do you purge old data

What strategies or tools are you using to remove old data from Confluence and JIRA? (Or other Atlassian tools).

I'm looking at the "Better Content Archiving for Confluence" to help reduce the size of our confluence install.  It's aimed at just arching, but apparently can also be set to delete.  

What do you use, or do to keep the size of your install under control?
