Right way to use the time-tracking feature

Stas Oskin October 2, 2012

Hi.

I've read this post:

http://blogs.atlassian.com/2012/09/agile-qa-greenhopper-time-estimates-with-sub-tasks/

But frankly, was left more confused before I read it.

If we want to have our team estimate in work-hours, but still track the actual amount of time invested in each store, what would be the best way to do it?

Thanks!

Hi Stas,

Did you want to record the actual number of hours spent for billing reasons? Are you a consulting shop or similar?

Why do the actuals matter?

Thanks,

Hi.

We are looking to improve the accuracy of our estimations using time-tracking, so we could faster understand the actual velocity of the team.

Similar question as the original poster here, anyway to track actual hours spent at end of an interation using the latest version.

Reason for this is tracking Software development efforts that apply to capital expenses to report for accounting purposes.

Thanks!
