Hi, is there currently any way to query the monthly budget that one can configure on an account while creating a jira automation?
We have some customers that have 2 Accounts, as long as the monthly budget of one account is not used up, I would like to redirect the worklogs to this account with the budged configured. (basically this is a prepaid budged)
Else I would leave the worklog on the issue where it hails from.
As for my setup:
I have a "prepaid" Issue that is automatically linked to all issues raised by this perticular customer. Since we dont use this link type otherwise, the "prepaid issue" is liked with the relation "is reviewied by".
Now my way of though was, to iterate over all issues linked in that way to the current one, should only be one. If the budget is not exceed, I would create a worklog with the same details as the original (and a hint where the worklog hails from) on the "prepaid issue". Then delete the old worklog since I dont need it any longer.
So far all is working, expect the point where I need to query the budget.
Hi Lucas,
Since you have the need to query the budget, there might be a solution for that which is an app on Atlassian Marketplace (Pact - Contract Management). It will provide you with some custom fields (Estimated cost & Original cost) in which you can put your monthly prepaid budget and you'll get tabular format & graphical format analysis with intutive donut charts, burndown chart.
You can also create another issue or budget from there only and other useful customization as well
I'll suggest you to please try it out at once, maybe it will resolve your problem

For any query, you can always reach out to us at solutions@optimizory.com or schedule a meet with us is you need more info to resolve your problem with pact.
