I would like to display custom fields created using Secure Custom Fields in the portal.

When I add a field to a request form, it becomes hidden.

Can custom fields created with Secure Custom Fields be displayed in the portal?

I have this question as well. Found the answer here. But am still having trouble. The fields now show on the portal, but the entered data doesn't show on the issue view even though I have configured the view permission for the field.

Anyone from Ricksoft out there to help?

Hi @akari ono and @Jennifer Choban - HeroCoders

Thank you for choosing to explore our application, and we’re excited to support you as a partner in your journey and operations.

Regarding your question about displaying custom fields created with Secure Custom Fields in the portal, I’ve compiled a few troubleshooting steps that may resolve the issue where the field becomes hidden after adding it to a request form. These steps cover each phase, from creating your custom field to setting the appropriate view and edit permissions:

1. Link the Custom Field to the Correct Screen for the JSM Form: It’s possible the custom field isn’t yet linked to the right screen. Follow this step-by-step guide to confirm
Create and Configure your Custom Field

2. Check User Permissions for Viewing and Editing the Secure Field: If the field is configured but still hidden, the view and edit permissions may need adjustment. Here’s a guide to ensure permissions are set up correctly

Configure Viewing and Edit Permission

3. For Project Admins Without System Admin Access: If you’re a project admin but don’t have system admin privileges, you’ll need your JIRA System Admin’s help to enable project-level configuration. Share this step-by-step guide with them to complete the setup:
Enable-project level configuration permission as a System Admin
Project level configuration

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please feel free to raise a ticket on our portal and we would appreciate if you can include a step-by-step replication of the issue and attach a screenshot. We’re here to help and look forward to getting this resolved quickly for you: PORTAL LINK
