Hello everyone,
I thought this would be simple, but I've wasted all afternoon and got literally no where!
I'd like to have a bat file run automatically when a sprint it closed/completed and I found myself going down the path of script runner and groovy.
Hmm, not 'groovy' at all.
I am not very familiar with scripting and totally new to script runner / groovy and nothing I've found online has helped me do anything even as simple as just having a .bat file being executed via a line in Script Console.
Something like "C:\\test.bat".execute()
All I get is "...error=2, No such file or directory...", which is plain incorrect and unhelpful.
If anyone could help with really simple plain English, I'd be massively appreciative!
Hello @Todd Dowty ,
I understand you're specifically looking for a Jira Cloud solution. However, for anyone seeking help on a similar topic for Jira Data Center, it's worth mentioning that the system function in Power Scripts for Jira could be a useful option. The system function in this scripting app offers precisely the functionality you're looking for, though unfortunately, it's not available in Jira Cloud.
Best regards,
Anna

Hi @vikram
Thanks for your reply. Really appreciate you trying to be helpful.
I saw both those links earlier in the day. Neither worked for me as the features/apps simply weren't anywhere to be seen.
Perhaps a bit slow of me, but I am only now starting to think that, maybe, my struggles are a Jira Cloud vs Server thing?

I’d be very concerned if Scriptrunner opened up such a massive security hole as what you are trying to achieve.
