Hi,
We use "Zendesk Support for Jira" app to sync Jira with Zendesk.
We would like to sync the regular Jira comments and get notification per update, same behaviour as happens with "Zendesk Support" comments tab.
Any idea if this is possible ?
Hello @Gal Fatal
I work for Exalate.
If you’re looking to achieve a seamless sync between Jira and Zendesk with more granular control Exalate might be the perfect fit.
Unlike native or simpler apps, Exalate gives you a scripting-based approach to tailor the synchronization to align perfectly with your requirements.
This specific functionality is achievable with native Jira Cloud automation.
Hi @Gal Fatal
Currently, with the "Zendesk Support for Jira" app, only comments added in the ‘Zendesk Support’ comments tab are synced and trigger notifications between Zendesk and Jira. Regular Jira comments in the general ‘Comments’ section aren’t synced or notified through this integration, which can be limiting if you need to keep all comments in sync. Additionally, this integration has a key limitation: it only supports linking a maximum of 200 Zendesk tickets to a single Jira issue, which may not be sufficient for larger teams or complex projects.
If you’re looking for a solution that fully syncs regular Jira comments and provides notification updates for each, consider using an enterprise integration tool like OpsHub Integration Manager (OIM) , a Zendesk Partner and an Atlassian's Silver Solutions Partner that offers seamless bi-directional sync across all comment sections, including regular Jira comments, while utilizing Zendesk's native notification system without requiring any additional configuration. This means that when a comment is added in Jira, it automatically syncs to Zendesk, triggering notifications for users just as if the comments were made directly in Zendesk.
In addition to comment synchronization, OpsHub also supports rich text sync, attachments, user mentions, and provides automatic conflict resolution.
Feel free to contact OpsHub’s Integration Experts for an initial free consultation on integration planning.
Thanks,
OpsHub Team
