How to configure public slack channel as request chat for @assist bot

Hi!

I am trying to add @assist bot to public channel to configuret it as request chat (agent chat is already configured for project).

But after adding the bot to public channel it writes error message:

Public channels can’t be used as your first agent channel. Please /add @assist to a private channel first to continue your onboarding process.

I have tried to remove bot app from slack, create new chats but it does not work.

Works only with private chats.

How it could be fixed?

It seems like there was another project with unfinished chat configuration. When I finished it worked as charm
