I'm trying to get a rails app deployed via a deployment plan. The deployment plan expects an artifact from the build plan. Since rails apps are typically deployed from source, does anyone have any suggesstions or examples with how they've done a rails deployment plan so you can still get the integration with JIRA showing what issues are deployed into what environment?
Hi Alex, this StackOverflow might help:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17526946/how-to-deploy-ruby-on-rails-app-using-atlassian-bamboo
And also, check out this Add-On: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/au.id.wolfe.bamboo.rake-bamboo-plugin
Thanks for the links, but those don't apply to the OnDemand version.
I'm in the process of getting things working with the OnDemand version, but I'm amazed at how many hours I've sunk into this. Given the popularity of Rails you would think there would be better out of the box support for this.
