Is elastic Bamboo ready for new longer form resource IDs?

Regarding Amazon's recent AWS announcement of new longer form resource IDs for EC2 and EBS coming this year.  What is the impact (if any) of this change on Bamboo cloud and use of Elastic Bamboo?  I would like to be able to set my AWS account to use the newer longer form identifiers but my concern is that this might break our current Elastic Bamboo setup.

Is Atlassian planning to publish some docs/guides for this change so that we are not scrambling at the end of the year when AWS makes the change effective everywhere?

There should be no problems with the new ids. Wherever we persist them, there's enough space to fit them.
