Join Our AMA on Scaling CI/CD Workflows with Bitbucket Pipelines

Hello Community! 🎉

We are excited to launch this Ask Me Anything (AMA) thread to help you build better CI/CD workflows. We’ll actively monitor the thread and respond to questions through July 31st, 2025.

This follows our upcoming webinar on "Scale CI/CD Workflows Faster with Bitbucket Pipelines.” If you can’t make the live session, you can watch the on-demand version, which will be available on the same link.

This is your opportunity to dive deeper into webinar content with our speakers, or if you just need general help on how to use Bitbucket Pipelines.

This thread will be monitored by:

  • @Warren Marusiak  Warren is a former developer-turned-technical evangelist who joined Atlassian in 2021. He has worked on everything from COBOL telecoms software running on mainframes to modern cloud infrastructure at AWS. As a technical evangelist, Warren builds awareness of the capabilities of Atlassian products and partner integrations through demos, writings, and videos. He also curates the Developer’s Edge video series.

  • Vlad Timofeev: Vlad is a senior engineer on Atlassian’s Cloud Security team, which strives to provide capabilities of robust authentication and authorization for services and users within the company. He is passionate about developer experience and productivity, and always seeks ways to make the development process more efficient and enjoyable.

  • And myself - I manage marketing and customer communications for Bitbucket. I can help answer questions about our roadmap, pricing or anything else.

For questions that we can’t answer, we’ll find others on our team who can help.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi, thanks for this morning's presentation we learned a few tricks.

We have a rather simple Pipeline (in comparison to what we saw this morning) to build our C/C++ code and generate release packages that we then upload to the Download section of the repository (when the release is tagged).

Do I have to enable anything special to get access to the Pipeline's performance analysis (CPU / Memory usage) or is that available only to people that are more than Admin on the Project ? For example I don't have access to the numbers of minutes used so far in our account either.

Hi @Christophe Aeschlimann The pipelines minutes used can be retrieved using this pipe.  https://bitbucket.org/product/features/pipelines/integrations?search=stat&p=atlassian/bitbucket-build-statistics

The metrics tab we showed on the slide was a pre-release feature. We plan to make that available to customers later this year. The step size functionality is available - if your builds are running slow, gradually increase step sizes to see if it speeds up your build. https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/docs/step-options/#Size
