Bitbucket. Can i configure file level access permissions?

I have a .net project in a single BitBucket. I have internal developers working on the back end code and contract developers working on the front end.

My "secret sauce" is in the backend code.

Is there anyway i can remove read and write access at an individual file level?

Thanks in advance russell

No. This cannot be done in either Bitbucket or Git. You should consider using a separate repository for portions of code that define your secret sauce, or hire contracters that you trust.

Thanks Seth - I guess that goes for Bitbucket / Mercurial also?

Its not about not trusting contractors - its more about protecting 2 years of investment!
