I have never been as frustrated as I have been with this.  All I am trying to do is setup Xcode to connect to a bitbucket repository and all I seem to get is an error about loading owners.

I setup an app password, gave it access to everything and it still won't work.

Is there any simple straight forward documentation on this? I mean this cannot be this difficult.

Hi Douglas and welcome to the community!

Xcode is a third-party application and as such, we don't have documentation on it.

Are you asked to provide username and password in order to connect to the Bitbucket repo? If so, the use of app password, instead of the account's password, is correct, as your account's password can only be used for logging in to https://bitbucket.org/ from browser.

Are you also using the correct username for your account, which is listed here?

If you use the correct username and an app password with the necessary permissions:

  1. What operation is Xcode trying to do? Clone the repo? Or perform an API call (and if so, what API call)?
  2. What is the output of the operation that Xcode is trying to do?

Kind regards,
Theodora
