Clarification on submodules in main repository

Hi,

I have couple of questions regarding sub modules.

- If I am committing the sub module code into the main repository whey do I only see the checksum in the pull request. If I want to review the code changes in main repository can I do that.

- While I am making build from my main repository would the sub module code get included in the main repo automatically or not.
