Does BitBucket support multiple development branches?

I am using BitBucket Cloud for tracking software development of my team.

As a team, we are maintaining multiple development branches (2 at the moment, but has the possibility to increase to more later).

I must say that I haven't fully explored the capabilities of BitBucket cloud just aware about the limited things that I need for managing the project.
however I love the feature where I can customize checks for my development branch and production branch.

I wish to scale this feature of BitBucket up for my multiple development branches.

Any guidance is helpful.

Which checks are you referring to? Do you mean pull request merge checks/branch permissions?

If so - they can be configured as per our documentation below:

Otherwise, please provide further clarification on what is meant by "checks".

but yes I was referring to Pull request checks.
