Is it possible to use duplicate repository names in different projects? For example can Bitbucket create the repo TIM in Project1 and in Project2?  I tried that, but Bitbucket reports that the workspace already has a repo named TIM. See the screenshot.

Hi @kmathiaBB

Welcome to the community!

In Bitbucket, repository names must be unique within a workspace, meaning you cannot have two repositories with the same name in the same workspace. If you attempt to create a repository with a name that already exists in the workspace, you will encounter an error message indicating that the repository name is already in use.

If you want to have similar repositories in different projects, you can consider Modify the name slightly (e.g., "TIM-Project1" and "TIM-Project2") to differentiate between them.
