Hi,
I am not able to load the bitbucket.org site from my browser and get a ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED error
Could be coincidental but could also be relevant - recently all ssh requests to bitbucket over port 22 stopped working and I had to update all the remote urls to use 443.
Thanks,
JM
Hi JM,
We have deprecated certain IPs for Bitbucket Cloud. You can check the link below, section Valid IP addresses for bitbucket.org, api.bitbucket.org, and altssh.bitbucket.org, for a list of current IPs and deprecated ones:
I suggest checking if the hosts file on your computer has an entry that maps bitbucket.org to a deprecated IP.
If port 22 is also not working, this may have to do with a different network-related issue.
Kind regards,
Theodora
Hi Theodora,
That was my problem. For a reason I cannot remember I had an IP address in my hosts file for bitbucket.org, and removing it from the file made it so I can again access bitbucket.
Thank you for your help,
JM

This list of possibilities here is too long to write out here.
Since you can't use port 22 outbound, I wonder if somewhere in your organization someone set up a network tool that is interfering with talking to bitbucket.org.
