Hi. I have a mercurial repo https://bitbucket.org/Jahndal/cegui which is a fork of https://bitbucket.org/cegui/cegui . A couple of weeks ago I synced my fork with an upstream via the button in 'Repository details' window. But now I can't find this button or even an article where it was described.
I've tried to follow instructions from https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/keeping-forks-synchronized-776639961.html but it seems I have no 'Settings > Fork syncing' section nor 'Synchronize' button.
How can I sync my fork with upstream now? Thanks in advance.
Are the repositories out of sync? The button only appears when they are out of sync.
Yes, they are. Upstream has commits into 'default' that my fork has no. In a case I'm mistaking I provided repo URLs (both public), so you can check it directly.

Ok. The 'sync' button might not be appearing because v0-8 is set as the main branch for both repos and those branches are in sync.
However, you can use the Compare View to compare and sync different branches and tags: https://bitbucket.org/Jahndal/cegui/branches/compare/cegui/cegui:default%0DJahndal/cegui:default#diff
You should see a 'Create pull request' and 'Merge' buttons in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Thanks, this may help. Anyway this is very misleading. "Fork Sync" must synchronize fork repo with upsream repo, isn't it? This is the expected and the most useful behaviour. The entire repo was forked after all. If user wants to synchronize only main branches there must be a button 'Sync main branch'.

What defines "out of sync"? I've got a forked copy of a repository. I manage both... the upstream and the forked copy. Any branches that existed at the moment of forking seem to work fine. Changes are detected and the "Sync" option appears. But any new branches at the upstream do not appear as changes in the forked copy. What am I missing? How can I make the fork aware of new branches at the upstream?

Hello Vladimir,
Thank you for describing your problem of the mysterious missing sync button.
There may be a simple solution for your issue. You may have received a beta update that has removed the “Fork Syncing” button. To disable the opt-in beta, follow these steps:
Please try the above to see if this brings back your “Fork Sync” button that has gone missing.
Regards,
Stephen Sifers

Hello. I disabled beta features but it didn't fix the issue. Old GUI is missing the button too.
