We have forked a repository, repo2 from repo1, and when we branch off the main branch in repo2 and then create a pull request the branch wants to automatically merge back into the repo1. Is it possible to change the default branch of the merge to the forked repository repo2 instead of repo1?

Hi @Christine Sobolewski,

Good day!

At this time, there is no ready-made functionality to handle this on the Bitbucket Cloud UI. Having said that, you can reach out to Bitbucket Cloud Support with a request to remove the upstream fork link from repository 2. The only caveat is that you will not be able to create a pull request for repository 1 in the future.

You can raise the ticket here: https://support.atlassian.com/contact ( by choosing 'Technical issues and Bugs' and Bitbucket as a product).
