In an existing installation of Visual Studio 2019 I can commit changes to a local repository after which I see in Team Explorer: Commit xxx created locally. Sync to share your changes with the server. When I click Sync the changes are visible in Bitbucket.
I think I originally setup VS2019 with a plugin https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=MistyK.VisualStudioBitbucketExtension that wasn't changed for VS 2022. In this forum I found no useful info about Visual Studio 2022.
So how do I setup sharing (in VS 2019) existing changes to a existing Bitbucket repos in Visual Studio 2022?
Hello Syahrul,
Thanks for your reply, I posted a reaction but whatever the policy is, not simply modernizing a plug in to the VS version on the market for 3 years is simply outrageous.
As I wrote there this is no less than telling your users that Bitbucket has no future.
G'day, @ic2
Bitbucket cloud currently only has an extension to VS Code. For Visual Studio itself, we have the following feature request to have an extension as well :
I recommend adding your vote there, as it aids both developers and product managers in gauging interest. Additionally, ensure you add yourself as a watcher if you wish to receive updates directly from that ticket. Keep in mind that all features are developed according to this policy.
Regards,
Syahrul
