Bitbucket refuses to start

David Head May 7, 2019

We are hosting version 5.3.1 of Bitbucket. It has been running fine, but would not restart after the server (virtual machine) was restarted. I don't know if the server was restarted due to a Windows update or not. The error was:

  • Required plugin com.atlassian.bitbucket.server.bitbucket-git has failed to start

I checked the Windows error log and got this error:

Faulting application name: bserv64.exe, version: 1.0.15.0, time stamp: 0x51543b9d
Faulting module name: jvm.dll, version: 25.71.0.1, time stamp: 0x576af213

Can you please assist as to how to get it running again? Our development team is down until I can get it back up.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi,

This might be a case of plugin cache corruption.

Please try the approach mentioned here.
