One group that uses Jira use Bitbucket, which is currently integrated with Jira. Another group uses Gitlab, but also once to integrate with Jira. Does Jira support both source control integrations at the same time?
Hi Beth, welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I can only respond for Jira Cloud. Most likely it's the same for Jira Server, but I cannot guarantee.
Yes. You can have your Jira Cloud site integrated to multiple version control systems at the same time. You can even have more complex scenarios like 2 Bitbucket Cloud accounts + 1 Github + 1 Bitbucket Server.
Notice that the integration with Gitlab (although technically works, either through an add-on or directly in the DVCS connector) is not officially supported (just yet).

Hi @Claudiu Lionte and thank you for the welcome!
Thank you so much for the fast response; I will share with the team and check back if they give me further questions. Thank you again! - Beth

@Claudiu Lionte would you be able to connect me with a Jira Server expert? I was thinking we are on Cloud, but we are on-prem. Thanks again.

Hi Beth,
Please see below a documentation article that states that this is also possible in Jira Server :)
https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/integrating-with-development-tools-938846890.html
This is valid for all supported Jira Server versions (from 7.4 to 8.0).

Hi Everyone,
While it is possible to connect Jira with multiple source control systems, it does not appear that there is any way to specify which scm you are referencing once you are in Jira.
For example, you can connect a Jira instance to BitBucket and GitLab, but when you are in an issue, there is not a way to specify if this issue is related to a repository in BitBucket or GitLab. It seems to default to whichever is the 'Primary' connection.
Therefore it should be noted that while you can connect to both, you cannot use them both efficiently. Is that what you all experienced?
