Enforcing Merge checks in newly repositories

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to enable merge check by default? So whenever I create new repository, this repo must already enabled merge check.

Secondly, as I have many repositories, how could I ensure that merge check is enabled, also if some repositories being disable, it should be notified to administrators.

Thanks.

Hello @Tran Tien dung,

Unfortunately it's not possible to turn on merge checks by default: there's currently no space for such meta-repo configuration, and we believe there're no sensible defaults for this particular aspect, so we can't make it up.

However, there's an API you can use to automate branch restrictions configuration:

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Daniil

Thanks Daniil, I'm playing around with create branch-restriction, but got this error https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Bitbucket-questions/Bad-request-when-adding-Branch-Restrictions-using-the-Rest-API/qaq-p/1150581

I think I'm using wrong the Curl command. if you have idea about this, please let me know.

Thanks.
