Hi,
I just deleted almost 20 repositories under our workspace. The total workspace Storage was 4.97 GB.
As of now there are just 2 small repo not exceeding few MBs but still it's showing 4.97 GB of workspace storage under Settings.
Hi everyone,
Thank you for reaching out.
After the deletion of your repositories, please allow up to 30 days for the background cleanup job to run and total workspace size to be re-adjusted.
Please note, that the size enforcement will take place on April 28, 2025, until that date your workspace is not going to be impacted by the new limits. The new workspace size will be reflected within 30 days of repository deletion.
Our team is working on improving the cleanup time and it is planned to be implemented prior to limits enforcement changes taking place.
Kind regards,
Theodora
Seems like it would've been a good idea to implement those changes prior to the announcement. Or at least include that little caveat in the announcement. I'm sure plenty of people are now going to delete repos they didn't need to delete in efforts to get that number to decrease.
Pretty crummy business practice to suddenly enforce a new limit on your customers in a context where it's hard for your customers to do what they need to do to conform to this new limit. Pretty ridiculous.
I'm sure these decisions have nothing to do with you @Theodora Boudale, I just think it's worth giving feedback that this action by Bitbucket is likely to drive customers away more than it will drive them to buy a plan.

Having this same issue after being notified about the upcoming changes. I tried to clean up my workspace, but it's hard to tell how much more I need to clean with that number being the only indicator they gave us. I have a feeling that number doesn't get updated constantly. Could be only updated monthly.
Hopefully someone responds - I would assume a lot of people are going to hit this and have the same question.
