Hi! I would like to restore repositories that used to be stored in a cloud bitbucket account with urls [REDACTED]
They are several years old. As far as I know, those are git repos, not mercurial and I haven't found any mentions of git repos restoration among community threads.
Is there any chance or mechanism repos in this account be brought back? Thanks in advance.
G'day!
I have taken a look at your workspace and cannot see the specific repository you have mentioned present anywhere on the workspace (I have redacted this for privacy purposes as this is a public forum).
As per our backup policy, support is only able to restore repositories deleted up until 7 days ago. We also only retain repository deletion logs for a maximum retention period of 30 days - so we are not aware of exactly when this repository may have been deleted. Our backend logs indicate that there have been no repository deletion events for your workspace recorded in the last 30 days.
If the repository was not mercurial - this would have been deleted by a user-initiated destructive action, as our system would never delete customers' repository data as per our policies concerning the protection of user-generated content.
I would suggest checking any local storage/local backups, or any colleague's local storage/local backups and pushing this back up to your remote workspace to restore any data that is stored here.
Cheers!
- Ben (Bitbucket Cloud Support)
Hello Ben,
Well that was expected. Thank you for this clarification anyway. Have a good day!
