Add document level properties and use placeholders for multi-page draw.io diagrams

Laszlo Horvath December 2, 2022

In draw.io I tried to add a couple document/drawing level custom properties (just like the predefined properties %version% %page% %pagecount% etc.) , then be able to use their value in placeholders on all the pages of a multi-page drawing. I am not successful. The property is available only on the page that was showing when I defined the property. If there is a way to do this, it is obscured somewhere.  Anybody succeeded with this?

Hi,

If you would like to have custom property used as placeholder for multipage drawing, my suggestion would be to define custom property (name:value) for every page globally. In other words when nothing is selected on the page, click Edit Data on the right and repeat for all pages.

Does this help?

Regards,

Marija
