Hi, I am in search of a tool that can help us streamline our software release notes documentation process. We aim to enhance how we communicate updates and features to our customers across Web, Android, and iOS platforms. A prime example of our target outcome is the Confluence 8.5 Release Notes page. We appreciate its structured layout, multimedia integration, and clarity.

Key Requirements:

  • An intuitive interface for crafting and managing release notes.
  • Support for embedding images, videos, and hyperlinks to detail updates.
  • Customizable templates that mirror our branding.
  • Version history to track edits and updates.
  • Diverse publishing capabilities to reach our audience effectively.

We believe a demo could provide valuable insights into how your tool aligns with our objectives. Could you please propose a few dates and times for a demonstration in the next few weeks?

Thank you for considering our request. I look forward to your prompt response.

Best regards,

@Mudit Agarwal

Ironically, you can setup your Confluence Cloud in a way that you can publish your content for public view.

Confluence out of the box supports :

 - simple workflow

 - full history of edits

 - concurrent editing

 - drafts

 - very rich editing

 - collaboration and feedback.

I you want to take it further, as a Platinum Solution Partner, I can recommend the Marketplace apps for Confluence from our partners that have extended the out-the-box functionality and excelled in that. Have a look at :

1. Scroll View Port: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211636/scroll-viewport-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview. - it's designed to publish your documentation in a simple and user-friendly interface

2. Workflows for Confluence: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1222276/workflows-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

All the best and feel free to reach out on LinkedIn if you need more help!

Hi @Mudit Agarwal , while there are lot of in-built capabilities within Jira's native automation - if you are looking for something that is more tailor made for your use case, you can look at our app 'Automated release notes for Jira'. There is a free version of the app that can give you a sense of all the possibilities.

ARN addresses all the requirements you have listed & goes beyond by automating the entire process of release notes creation & distribution.

Disclaimer - I am part of the team that developed & supports this app.

Best,

Anand
