Hello Confluence users/admins,
It's not often that I ask a direct question regarding an app but I'd like to see what everyone's experience is regarding a feature that this app provides.
I have a client that currently uses the "Metadata for Confluence"-app (on DC) from Communardo Products GmbH.
In the journey moving them to Cloud the app has a large gap between their DC and Cloud app. Missing functionalities, difficult migration path,..
So I'm wondering, what are your experiences regarding other aps or native functionalities that could replace the functionalities of this app?
To include metadata on pages and visualize it are there better ones out there or is this something I could easily fix with native functionality?
Any ideas/tips would be welcomed!
Hey @Dirk Ronsmans ,
I haven't used Metadata for Confluence before. Are you able to outline some of the functionality you or your client are looking to retain?
After a brief look at that app, it seems that a number of features could be replicated with the Page Properties default functionality in Confluence. This would require the use of more strict Templates to ensure the correct fields are populated, with the correct spelling and such. However, I've used the default Page Properties feature extensively and it allows for some decent reporting.
Any additional details on the requirements would be helpful with finding replacement apps.
Cheers,
Robert
