Can I create templates that update retroactively?

OliverD February 21, 2020

Hi,

We have been creating template pages with macros and details pre-loaded,

Is it possible to create templates in a way that will cause them to update retroactively? So that if we make changes to a template page, all the pages already created with that template will also update?

If so could someone point out how this is done?

Thanks

Oliver

It depends - if you want update static content elements in your templates, you could try making use of the Excerpt Include or Include Page macros. However, if you want something more dynamic and includes editable elements, you'll need to check the marketplace for a 3rd-party solution or develop something yourself.
