Can we add functionality to toggle Request Option and include Access Message?
Confluence Cloud Feedback:
1) When users are forwarded a link to a Confluence space/page that they don't have access to, they see a button to request access (see FIG-1).
2) When users click the button, the space admin receives an auto notification email that user(s) requested access. This email notification prompts the space admin with the option to manually add users into the space. (see FIG-2)
However, in our company we do not add users manually into Confluence spaces due to compliance. Instead we set up Azure AD groups for each Confluence space where the groups have specific permissions access.
3) We then email the users with instructions to submit for the specific Azure AD groups in SailPoint (See FIG-3).
Unfortunately, this process can get quite cumbersome with many Confluence spaces to manage across different sites/instances. And even though educate users and share instructions (centralized page, emails) people forget to share it when new people when they join the organization.
Suggestion:
I would like Atlassian to give Confluence Space admins the ability to toggle on/off the Request Access Button (see FIG-4).
When it is toggled off, space admins can include a custom access message to display to users. The format of the message can be in rich texts to allow space admins to add tables with lists of Azure AD groups, groups owners/approvers, and hyperlink where they can request access.
