Can we add "replaceable text" to our Confluence templates?

In the default templates that come with confluence, there are text areas like this: 

So it gives me an idea of what should go there, and when I start typing it automatically disappears.

I would like to do this same thing in the templates I am creating for my team, but I can't seem to find documentation on how. Does anybody know if we can do that?
