I have a Spreadsheet Table Macro, with a header row and want to sort a set of columns by date which is one of the columns ("Required for"). The sort is only numeric-alphabetical and does not seem to capture date sorting. The result is shown below. Is there a way to sort dates? I guess I can switch to ISO 8601 format (YYYY-MM-DD) as a workaround for now.
Hi @Fraser Macmillen ,
Please visit the "Custom formats" section of the cell format menu in the header of your Table Spreadsheet macro. There you may choose "More date and time formats..." and check which date formats are supported by the macro.
If you apply one of these formats to your cells, you'll be provided with a date picker to insert your dates and you'll be able to sort them as well.

Hi @Fraser Macmillen ! Welcome to Community!
Have you considered trying our app Elements Spreadsheet with the Project Tables macro. You can create table with pre-configured columns (text, date, select list, people, etc.) to help organize your data so it can easily be sorted, managed and analyzed.
With the Project Tables macro, you can easily sort values in the "Date" column and also display a summary metric at the bottom, providing a clear overview of the data.
