Currently, unless I am not seeing this right, changing a page owner or specifying watchers cannot be performed through smart values. These have to be selected from the user pool when creating or modifying the automation action.
What I would like to achieve is:
Page trigger page status change then uses the action to change the owner to the initiator.
Hi @Andreas Schmidt
Welcome to the community!
If I understand correctly, you would like to use an automation rule to change the owner of a page to the initiator when the page status changes. Unfortunately, as of my knowledge, the built-in automation functionality in Confluence does not provide a direct way to change the page owner using smart values or select the owner dynamically during the automation configuration.

Hi @Sushant Verma and community,
Knowing there is no current way to dynamically change a page owner, does anyone know if there is there a an open Atlassian ticket we could all VOTE on to get this implemented?
If they could make the Confluence Automations as robust as the Jira Automations, this would be a great tool!
Thanks,
Mark
