Counter for changes no longer works

The counter in the contributors widget does not "count".

E.g. I have 348 as counter but this never changes even though i added and updated hundreds of pages.

The widget is set to Space "x" only so not to any labels or pages.

And descendants is set

Based on several posts it looks like atlassian is not going to fix issues with this macro:

Ah.... welll.. then time to remove it.

Or write a Confluence PS script that goes through all pages and calculates it offline and then updates a part of a page with the counts.............
