I'd like to create custom Space Templates in cloud. That is, the templates that are available when creating a new space (e.g. Team, Documentation, Knowledge Base, Software Project).
I haven't found anything in the docs or admin control panel on how to do that.
Hi @Alex Sramek
Hmm, looks like you've probably already had a look at https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/create-a-space-from-a-template/
In that case can I ask if you're looking to create these space templates based off existing spaces?
If so, there is a thread on this that might be helpful: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-Cloud-questions/How-to-create-a-custom-space-template-from-an-existing-project/qaq-p/1759045
Let me know.
Kind Regards,
Ash
Hi Ash,
Yes, I've already seen both of those documents.
I know how to do the process *manually*, as the second document you linked suggested. I would like to add my own space template to the template list, so that when a user clicks "Create a Space", they can select a template that I've created from the list alongside ones like Team and Knowledge Base.

Hi @Alex Sramek
Adding to that template list isn't possible from what I've gathered but you're not the first to express interest in it, there was movement on this topic recently enough here:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-4538
As of now, the only alternative I can think of to the "manual" process is through some form of a plugin such as https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1214324/page-tree-creator-blueprint-template-former-space-tree?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
(Please note I'm not affiliated or associated with the developer in anyway, It just was one of the top plugins matching your requirements).
Kind Regards,
Ash

Thank you! I've just voted for and watched the issue. That's a LOT of votes on there, shame it hasn't been prioritized.

No problem, the good signs are that it's getting traction, I don't have much more information than that though :)
