We are starting a Knowledge Base on Confluence. Your online Help on the topic is good. But we need more targeted/customized info for our needs.
We need guidance on:
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Jeff Forlenza
Hi Jeff,
If you're using OnDemand, you can't install custom plugins. As for buttons, you may want to either use the Rounded Rectangle macro, or use an image as a link.
Selcuk's idea with using labels for Advanced Search should work alright for you.
Dora
Selcuk, Dora,
Thanks for your quick response to my questions. I will explore plugins.

Hi Jeff,
Most of them are available on marketplace.
Analytics
Most popular is google analytics. Depends on what you'd like to to. Google analytics doesn't tell you who is doing what.

You can also use Customware tracking plugin.

Mixpanet Engagement plugin

Add buttons and submission
As usual there is not a simple way to do. For us for some reason ciommenting is disabled for user. Therefore they cannot comment on anything.
So it can be done via customisation or alternatively (assuming that commenting is available for your users) you can use Community Bubble pluging which does the job. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.adaptavist.confluence.bubbles
Advanced search
Simple use the labels and allow that user can create labels. It may be hard to control but it gives you flexibility.
and some more plugin:

Personal Note
Plugins and macros drive me crazy. Many of them with slightly different functionality and prices and for various versions.
So if you haven't done it do create a staging area and test and test again on this staging and do move on a test space on your production instance and do test and do user test and then move to the production.
This will give you enough knowledge how to use the plugings and what may go wrong.
Cheers,
Hope this helps
Selcuk
