I am using a template to create child pages within a doc hierarchy. Right now if I leave the page Title blank, it uses some of the variables from the template to name the document. Is there a way to control this to use only specific values from the page properties?
Hi @peter_brauer1 Have you tried setting up a Confluence Automation rule? You will need to find the correct smart value for the value in the page properties, but once you have that it should work. I wrote an article sharing how I set up an Automation to create a page using a template and customizing the page title https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Confluence-articles/How-to-use-Confluence-Automation-to-create-a-page-amp-send-a/ba-p/3015372
Here is the Confluence documentation for smart values: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/smart-values-in-confluence-automation/
My rule is scheduled, but you could have it manually triggered, so when someone needs to create child pages they activate it.
Thank you! i will check these pages out.
