We have a Confluence (Data Center) 500 Users: Commercial Term License.
There is currently one server running in the Production environment.
Does this license allow for running a second server in the same environment?
ie - am looking at a blue / green solution.
I would add the license to the new second server and restore from a backup from the current server to the new server. Then switch routing of user traffic to the new instance, terminating the old.
Hi @david wells ,
what you described is OK, since you will end up with only one environment in production using the license.
What is prohibited is, for example, having 2 separate Data Center instances (one for internal employees, and another one for external customers).
You can have the same license active at the same time, it won't block anything as long as it's for a migration.
Hope this helps.
