I have a sequence diagram in confluence / Draw.io. it is currently named 'untitled diagram.drawio"
I find the drawing on the draw.io diagrams page. If I click on either drawing I see it, but if I click on the pencil to edit it I get an error saying "Diagram not found. Diagram does not belong to a published page.
I did save it multiple times and the preview looks right, I just can't edit it.
There is a second drawing with the same name that may be the issue?
Hi,
if you have an issue with diagram editing, feel free to submit all the details to https://drawio.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/14/group/15/create/49
This is very old thread so ticket submit sounds like a better way to go.
Kind regards,
Marija

Hi,
Thanks for contacting us.
This sounds like your diagram is a draft i.e you didn't publish it.
In "draw.io diagram" section you can see all the diagrams, including drafts but when you select a draft from there, you are not able to edit it.
So my suggestion would be to click "Your work" (click Confluence logo in the top left part of the screen)
Find your diagram and click it. You will be able to publish it or edit it (when hovered, edit button will appear)
Once you publish it, you will see it in your space.
Does this help?
Regards,
Marija

Marija,
Thanks but no, that didn't work.
Under my work is a only the page that the diagram is on, when I go to that page, the drawing is a very old version, editing, edits the old version of the drawing.
Publishing worked but only published the old page
If I open the attachments for that page I can see a png for the drawing and the drawio file. I can also see older versions of the png and the drawio files.
If I try to edit, or do anything, to the drawio files I get a text file of what looks to be ascii encoded binary.

Thanks for the reply.
Could you tell me if you are using the new Confluence editor, please?
If you are, there is a possibility (the new editor potential issue) that only the first save is applied to the page.
A solution could be to open the draw.io file in draw.io online https://www.draw.io/
and copy/paste to Confluence draw.io editor.
Does this help?

I'm using the online version at https://<mycompany>.atlassian.net
I was able to save the latest version to my computer, then upload it to draw.io and then save it, import it and add it to the confluence page.
But clearly confluence is broken as far as using draw.io
This is the second attempt to make it work with the same results

You're likely hitting https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-62749. And yes, it needs urgent fixing.
