Editing with Word in Confluence, time limit for upload?

When I edit a document in Confluence with Word normally I can save my work and upload the document to Confluence page. However if edit for an hour of so or even longer the saved document will not upload to the Confluence page. Is there a time limit within the editing and saving and uploading has to be done?
