Formatting error importing docx

Hello,

I've been extensively researching how we can migrate our years and years of PDF files into our Confluence to create a Knowledge Base. When use Adobe to export my PDF into a docx (same results with .doc) I get some strange formatting errors. I"ve tried exporting with Retain Position and Retain Flowing Text. Retain position is a garbled mess on upload (none of the header links work either) but I do have a screengrab from Retain Flowing Text

Mostly everything is in good position however I have this formatting error where the pictures aren't loading and I get !worddav error whatever that is. Is there a way around this?
