HELP - how to view vertical scroll bar on the side menu on macos ?? works on windows

Viewing Confluence Cloud pages on Windows with the side menu enabled, you always see a vertical scroll bar when the side menu has focus.

In MACOS, the vertical scroll bar is not visible for the side menu when it has focus. 

Is there a key combination I can use to show the side scroll bar on MACOS?

I don't see a configuration option for this.
