Heading Links in a Template

james_holthaus June 11, 2021

I'm trying to create a confluence template that allows links to headers on the same page.  My issue is if I create a copy of the page it's pointing back to the original document not the copy.  How do I get confluence to access the current page in a url link for a header, or is this not possible and only a dream?

Can you share a screenshot of what you would like to do and how you are currently creating the links?

@james_holthaus

If you just use the table of contents at the top of the page to point to the headers it will update when you make copies.

Thanks for the help Brant, but I'm looking to have links throughout the document, not just at the beginning.

Hi @james_holthaus , hi @Suman Devarakonda ,

did you try table of contents with include only option? You won't be able to rename the headings, if you link it like this, but maybe it's a solution for you.
