Issue Summary

Editor cursor jumps back to the top of the line when performing Japanese language conversion

Related to: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-76001

Steps to Reproduce

I have confirmed only on Linux.

Linux

  1. OS > Language support > install 日本語(Japanese)
  2. OS setting > Keyboard > add "Japanese(Mozc)"
  3. open browser
  4. create confluence page(new editor)
  5. input "Japanese" and perform Japanese language conversion
  6. if enter [space] key, conversion is done.(can't select)
  7. cursor back to the top of the line.
  8. If enter a word first, and input after a word, it works fine. (cursor doesn't back to the top of the line)

OS platform: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
Browser: Chrome
IME: Japanese(IBus - Mozc)

I am also having the same issue on Ubuntu 22.04 and Mozc, reproduced on both Chrome and FireFox.

To avoid move the cursor again and again, I use a trick, putting space at every biggining of the line. But it is by far not a solution.

This issue significantly keeps impacting my productivity. And the bug remains more than 2 or 3 months even though the ticket https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-76001 is noted as "CLOSED"

Atlassian Team,

I think this greatly affects all Japanese users, and it would be nice if it could be fixed with a relatively higher priority.

Thanks in advance.
