Hello all,

I'm very new to confluence and would appreciate your input. I'm compiling a list of hardware and defining standard settings. I would like to have the page be organized through links or dropdowns. For example, we have many different types of monitors, I would like for someone to navigate to "MONITORS" be able to click it. Then have a list of our deployed monitors appear, then they could navigate to the model, click that, and see the standard settings.

I appreciate anyone who can point me in the right direction, thank you in advance!

Hi @BERKOWSKI, MAXX ,

If you keep your information in tables, we may suggest trying our app - Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app.

Its Table Filter macro will help you to filter your tables and search the information very fast and easy.

And Table Excerpt/Table Excerpt Include macros may help you to combine multiple-row tables from different pages/spaces into one big report for filtering.

If you are interested in a live demo from our team, we'll be happy to organize it - please book an available time slot here.

Hello @BERKOWSKI, MAXX ,

You can create a Table of Contents by adding a macro with the same name. The easiest way to add a macro is to type "/" in any part of a page and typing Table of Contents.

What is added to Table of Contents depends on headings you use. You can change text to a heading by clicking a dropdown in the left top part of the page (should be Normal Text by default) and choosing respective heading.

So for example, "Monitors" could be Heading 1, specific model could be Heading 2 and so on.

Would that suit your case?

Hi there,

As this thread mentions our Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app, we are happy to introduce its new macro – Table Spreadsheet.

The macro allows you to work with fully functional Excel spreadsheets right in Confluence.

You’ll be able to use cells’ formulas, filters, conditional formatting, etc., create pivot tables and charts from the page view and edit modes.

The Table Spreadsheet macro is available for Cloud and Server/Data Center.
