How do I change alignment in a table

I'm creating a table and I want every cell in the table to contain center aligned text. I can center text in one cell using the menu bar but when I select the whole table and click the center align button it does not change the alignment.

Hi Paul,

you're right with your observation that you have to change formatting options for each cell individually in cloud. As I am constantly switching between Confluence Cloud and Server instances this difference between both platforms always gets me... :/

Well, it's hard to consider that anything other than catastrophically broken, but I guess it is what it is.
