How do I embed Confluence pages on another site?

This question was answered five years ago.  I'm hoping that there's been an update since then.

I'm building out our company's learning management system (Looop.co) and client self-help site (Zendesk) respectively.  We've developed several of our own resources, but now that we've adopted Confluence and JIRA, our Confluence pages are rich with help resources.  I want to embed those into the two site respectively - 1. to help onboard staff, and 2. to help inform our clients.  In Looop this would be done via an iframe, in Zendesk, possibly a link, not sure yet, but exploring.  Either way, how do I whitelist these sites (or whom do I talk to about whitelisting these sites), so I can embed real-time Confluence articles into them that will update as we update the Confluence pages?

I know that Confluence's default is no embeds, but that's a default.  Who does my team talk to to turn this off or enable these other sites?

Thanks.

Hello Barnett and welcome to the Community!

So this is an interesting idea and you may have some options worth exploring. It'll start with easiest and go from there:

Firstly, you can utilize anonymous access to your site to remove the need for login to gain access to the page(s). This will however grant access to your pages from anyone on the internet so use caution when doing this. For further information on this please see Set up public access.

Secondly, you can explore the option of using a marketplace app to utilize a pre-built integration between products. These integrations will have a price associated to your site user count so keep that in mind when planning and budgeting. Here is a preset search for Atlassian Marketplace | Zendesk.

Lastly, you could explore the option of creating your own integration or app using our developer docs. While this would be the most difficult to explore, you'll be able to control your integration and customize it to suit your requirements across multiple products. Here is our developer information:

I hope this information proves helpful in your path to utilize Confluence across other products.

Stephen Sifers

Hi,

Granting public, anonymous, access to confluence cloud spaces is not all that is required to allow embedding. There seems to be something more needed.

I've attempted to embed an iframe of my public space and get a mysub.atlassian.net refused to connect error.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello @barnett.paige

If you are open to using an app from the marketplace, you can give Embedder for Confluence a try.

Disclaimer: I am the product owner for this app.

Best,

Anand
