Every time I'm editing a page and the cursor is near a date or I start typing something that looks like a date, Confluence pops up an automatic date widget suggestion which gets accepted when I press enter.
This is super annoying. How do I turn this off?
Further, how can I turn off all automatic popups like this?
I don't have a problem with the popup when I highlight text, just when I get popups clicking and typing.

Welcome! Unfortunately.....No but you can hit the "esc" button on your keyboard to have it go away.
There was an Atlassian ticket raise for the same concern:

That's super annoying.
As a developer myself, I couldn't imagine implementing a feature like that without also building a setting to turn it off.

Another workaround solution you might consider is quickly typing // followed by Enter to activate the data macro. From that point, you can proceed to input your date.
I find this method particularly helpful when I want to enter the current date, as it only requires me to type double slashes (//) and then press Enter twice.
